Classrooms and Education
As a result of government regulations requiring smaller class sizes, meeting the needs of special education students and population growth in our communities, most jurisdictions find that they have a shortage of instructional classroom space.
Many school districts have found that portable classrooms are an affordable and effective solution.
These classrooms can be purchased or leased through our dealer network, depending on the budgetary process and the funds available to the school system. Portable classrooms can be designed to fit your budget and can contain all of the amenities required for contemporary education, including: chalkboards, marker boards, tack boards, bookcases, restrooms and teacher's closet. A variety of heating and air conditioning systems are available, including some that will provide up to 100% fresh air.
Portable classrooms are an economical and convenient way to expedite additional classroom space, whether it is for an interim period while a conventional addition is being constructed, or to supplement classroom space during a spike in the student population. Constantly changing demographics are well-suited to the use of portable classrooms because they are easily re-locatable, portable classrooms respond readily to population shifts within a local school district.
Layouts and designs are flexible. We offer many selections of independent, individual classrooms, as well as larger buildings containing multiple classrooms, center corridors and common restroom facilities. We work closely with the facilities personnel to make sure the proposed site is appropriate, that the electric service available is suitable for the intended building and that the proper rough-in locations for fire alarms, data wiring, intercom systems, etc. are provided.
Because of the inherent benefits of modular construction, the building system easily lends itself to other educational applications that go way beyond the classroom. Some other educational applications of modular construction are:
Day Care Facilities:
In today's economic climate, the need for dual income households is continually increasing. Parents look for a secure and safe facility that is convenient, economical and suited to the early childhood education expected from a pre-school environment. Day care facilities constructed with modular units are building code compliant and energy efficient. Rest room facilities and built-in components are age appropriate. The interior finishes are durable and selected for ease of maintenance. Layouts and floor plans vary depending on targeted ages and specific site related considerations.
Library:
With the available open interior layout and heavier floor loading, the modular building system is suitable for a temporary or permanent library addition.
Administrative Space:
The flexible interior layouts allow the design to be tailored to your specific requirements to provide administrative space for school officials, guidance counselors or nurse's office.
