Guard Houses and In-Plant-Offices

We offer a series of small portable buildings that are suitable for permanent or temporary installation, either inside or outside your facility. These buildings can be as small as 4'x 4' to be used by a single occupant for security purposes, to larger multiple occupant structures.

Any requirement for a small, stand alone structure would be a good fit for one of our Guard Houses or In-Plant-Offices, regardless of its intended use. We have built small structures like these to house electrical switchgear, as a scale house, parking attendant booth, admission booth at special events, receiving office, control booth at manufacturing plant, broadcast booth for sporting events and many more applications.

The exterior finish is suitable for use indoors but is also weatherproof, to allow these buildings to perform just as well outside. These units will usually arrive complete with heating and cooling system and be fully operational as soon as power is connected. A built-in desk with a file cabinet is available as an option and if required, a handicap accessible restroom can be included.

Our Guard Houses and In-Plant-Offices are built on a steel frame that includes reinforced forklift pockets to allow for easy off-loading, placement and future relocation. The electric system is complete, including fluorescent lighting, and terminates at a circuit breaker panel.

These units would be shipped on a flat bed truck and would not include wheels. They can be placed directly on a concrete slab or piers and be positioned close to the ground, eliminating the need for exterior stairs.

Interior and exterior finishes can vary, as well as window and door placement. When these are used outside as a guard house or inside as a supervisor's office, it is customary to maximize the available window area. This gives the occupant the highest possible visibility of their surroundings.

Although typically built of wood frame construction, these units can also be built using non-combustible components, or pre-cast concrete (bullet resistant) construction. In some applications and at some facilities, the wood frame construction may not be allowed.
