Mobile Modular Expands Campus While Preserving Nature

The Challenge

Birch Grove Montessori and University Prep School in Southeast Michigan had 42 acres of rural space and needed a facility to accommodate their students and faculty.

The Solution

Mobile Modular worked with the school board to provide a 10-classroom modular building. During the design phase, Mobile Modular utilized an existing standard modular classroom design, adding custom touches including extra windows and brick and steel siding for excellent curb appeal. Using the standard design saved the customer time and money.

Planning for Future Expansion

During the delivery and installation phase, Mobile Modular had to ensure the site plan was developed in a way to minimize disruption to the adjacent wetland areas. Furthermore, we had to ensure the building was strategically placed onsite so future buildings could be easily constructed without interruption. These are not typical issues for a standard classroom project, making this a unique case. Upon completion of the installation, the bus loop and parking lots were completed, still allowing for future construction. The modular building solution cut down on countless months of construction and allowed the students to be moved in for the 2022 school year.
