Steel Frame Modular Building System

Non-combustible Steel Frame or Steel & Concrete Building Systems

Any of the buildings that we manufacturer can be ordered with steel framing. And steel is a great choice for areas with elevated risk of fire, termites, earthquakes and high winds. In addition to it's superior strength-to-weight, steel will not splinter, crack, warp, rot or burn - often lowering your annual insurance cost!

Mobile/Modular Express offers the best in steel frame buildings.

ADVANTAGES of STEEL FRAME CONSTRUCTION:

  • Non-combustible.
  • Will NOT swell or shrink in reaction to humidity.
  • Highest strength-to-weight ratio of any building material.
  • Fewer studs required to equal strength of wood.
  • Galvanized steel resists rust and corrosion.
  • Resists mold and mildew.
  • Resistant to termites and other boring insects.
  • Bolts, screws and welds resist wind and seismic stress better than nails.
  • Does not deplete forests and is 100% recyclable.
  • Walls designed to exceed government energy efficient standards.
  • Offers better protection from lightning strikes.
  • Does NOT interfere with radio, TV or cellular signals.
  • Multiple access holes in each stud simplifies future wiring & plumbing.

Our typical Steel Frame Modular Building System units will include floor decking and roof sheathing of non-combustible material and will render the entire structure completely non-combustible. A steel framed non-combustible structure should not be confused with a fire rated structure, however, fire ratings and fire separations can be addressed for specific applications.

Due to its' ability to be recycled, steel remains one of the most eco-friendly building materials used in modern construction. Although the cost of steel frame construction remains at a premium over typical wood frame construction, the widespread use of the materials has served to reduce the cost differential between the two types of construction.
