Mobile Modular Constructs a New Pharmacy For Use During Remodeling of Hospital

Background

The Health and Human Services Commission of Texas at Rusk State Hospital started the process of drawing up plans to remodel their onsite buildings. During the planning process, the HHSC recognized the need to replace their pharmacy and needed a temporary space for their personnel during the 36-month process.

The Solution

The project was put out to public bid and Mobile Modular was awarded the project, including a full HUB subcontracting plan for the 2,880 sq. ft. modular pharmacy building. Based on Texas codes and the specs provided, the building was to be newly manufactured, delivered, and installed, following all necessary requirements for a pharmacy. The installation included network cabling as well as an ADA-compliant deck, steps, and ramp systems.

Working Within Time Constraints

As the primary contractor, Mobile Modular procured multiple subcontractors for various applications throughout the project. With stringent time constraints in mind, Mobile Modular utilized its close relationship with Palomar Modular Buildings to manufacture the 4-module pharmacy building and deliver on time. The 48’x60’ modular pharmacy features a pharmacy space, a conference area, an IT workspace, an office space, a cleaning room, as well as an open work area.
