The BMW Ultimate Driving Experience allows participants to test drive BMW’s latest vehicles through:

The Challenge

BMW’s transition to an all-electric vehicle lineup presented a unique logistical challenge for Octagon:

How do you reliably power EV test vehicles in remote event locations—often parking lots or racetracks—that lack access to grid power?

Traditional generator setups are effective but not aligned with BMW’s sustainability vision. The challenge was to provide clean, off-grid energy capable of powering multiple EV chargers while maintaining the flexibility, reliability, and mobility needed for a traveling event series.

The Solution: SVEGO Off Grid Hybrid Energy System

To meet the demand for sustainable, high-output power, Mobile Modular deployed its SVEGO Off Grid Hybrid Energy Solution to both Anaheim Angels Stadium and Santa Anita Park.

    Each SVEGO system was configured with:
  • Two Level 2 Siemens 48 Amp EV chargers
  • Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)

    Over six days, the system delivered:
  • 398 kWh of power

The hybrid solution provided clean energy during daylight hours and seamlessly engaged the generator supplement during periods of high demand, inclement weather, or reduced solar input.

Despite challenging environmental conditions—including north-facing solar placement and rainy weather at Santa Anita Park—the SVEGO hybrid system performed reliably and met all energy targets.

  • Delivered 398 kWh of clean Level 2 EV charging power.
  • Generated 222.7 kW using the base SVEGO model.
  • Maintained consistent EV charging throughput for six consecutive event days.
  • Demonstrated successful hybrid integration with supplemental generator support during low-solar periods.
